Is AI truly intelligent, or just a powerful pattern recognizer? This seminar will explore the nature of intelligence through the lens of AI and brain-inspired models, asking what these systems actually 'know' and how they compare to human cognition in making predictions and decisions. We’ll also discuss how intelligence—whether artificial or biological—is defined and measured, and what it means for AI to be 'good enough' in scientific, clinical, and societal contexts.
